A music video is the one format where the audio is finished before you start. Everything else — the cut points, the performance, the locations — has to answer to a track you cannot change.
We have directed this end to end, including a video shot with Chris Gayle. The work below is on the channel; the process here is the one that produced it.

How we work
- 01 Listen and treat We listen to the finished track enough times to know where its turns are, then write a treatment that says what the camera does at each of them. You approve the treatment before anything is booked.
- 02 Cast, recce, schedule Faces, locations and permissions. A music video shoot day has no slack in it, so the schedule is built shot by shot before the crew is called.
- 03 Shoot to playback Performance is shot to playback so lip sync holds in the edit. We shoot coverage for the cutdowns on the same day rather than coming back for them.
- 04 Cut to the track The edit is cut to the master, so every transition lands on something you can hear.
- 05 Grade and deliver Colour grade, titles, and the vertical cutdowns for reels and shorts — delivered together, not as an afterthought.

Questions people ask
Do you work with independent artists or only labels?
Both. The process is the same; the scale of the shoot changes.
Do we need the track finished before we start?
Yes. A treatment written against an unfinished mix has to be rewritten when the mix changes, and that is a cost nobody wants to pay twice.
Who arranges permissions for locations?
We do, as part of the recce. Costs are passed on at actuals.
How long does it take?
Typically three to five weeks from approved treatment to graded master, depending on the shoot days and how many locations are involved.
